- What is the Globe Recognition program?
The Globe Recognition program is a loyalty-based program for Globe and Mail subscribers. It is a way to say thank you to our readers by offering them access to unique and exclusive experiences.
- How do I become a Globe Recognition member?
If you are a subscriber to The Globe and Mail you are automatically eligible to be a Globe Recognition member. However, in order to receive and redeem offers you will need to register your e-mail address at globerecognition.com. Please note: although any subscriber can be a member, the majority of program offers are currently specific to British Colombia and Ontario. residents.
- When will the Globe Recognition program be available in other regions outside of BC & Ontario?
Currently there is no plan for expansion of offers outside of BC & Ontario.
- Do you share my e-mail address with other companies?
Absolutely not. We only use your e-mail address to send you information about The Globe and Mail and the Globe Recognition program offers and events. We do not share your e-mail information with anyone else. To learn more, please review our Privacy Policy at www.theglobeandmail.com/help/privacy/.
- Do I need a Globe Recognition card?
The new program criteria does not require a physical Globe Recognition card. Your membership in the program will be automatically recognized by the e-mail address you registered with us.
- What if my e-mail address changes?
We want to make sure you don't miss out on any special information you may need. If your e-mail changes, please let us know by updating your profile at the customer care webpage at customer.globeandmail.ca or by calling Customer Care at 1-800-387-5400.
- I don't seem to receive e-mails from the Globe Recognition program anymore. What happened?
We may not have your current e-mail address. To ensure we have your current and correct e-mail address, you can check your profile at the customer care webpage at customer.globeandmail.ca or by calling Customer Care at 1-800-387-5400.
- Can I register someone else for a Globe Recognition event?
Yes. A Globe Recognition member can register non-members for events. There may be a requirement to provide their e-mail address in order to ensure they receive updates on events or promotions.
- How do I get taken off your e-mail mailing list?
If you wish to be removed from the Globe Recognition mailing list you can simply click the unsubscribe button at the bottom of e-mail offers you receive or call Globe Recognition at 1-866-545-0016.
- How do I register for a particular offer?
Each event will have a different method of registering depending on the type of event and location. If it isn't clearly marked in the offer, you can always call the Globe Recognition program toll free at 1-866-545-0016.
- Who can be a member?
Anyone who subscribes to The Globe and Mail newspaper is automatically eligible to be a member. However, in order to receive our e-mail offers we must have their e-mail address on file. To provide us with their e-mail address they can simply set up a member profile at globerecognition.com. Please note that currently the majority of program offers are specific to British Colombia and Ontario.
- How do I qualify to be a member?
If you are a subscriber to The Globe and Mail you are automatically qualified to be a Globe Recognition member. In order to receive and redeem offers you will need to register your e-mail address at globerecognition.com. Please note that currently the majority of program offers are specific to BC and Ontario.
- How will I find out what offers or programs are available?
You will receive e-mail offers from the Globe Recognition program at a frequency of no more than 2 per week. You can also visit www.globerecognition.com to view a calendar of upcoming events.
- How do I respond to these offers/events or contests?
The criteria for responding to offers will differ depending on the event. If it is unclear in the offer e-mail, you can always call Globe Recognition at 1-866-545-0016.
- If I have a Globe Recognition card, can I still use it?
The card is no longer required. You will be recognized as a member by identifying the e-mail address you used to register your original card in the program. - Can anyone be a Globe Recognition member? I'm a subscriber, but I don't have a member profile, can I still be a member.
Yes, if you are a subscriber to The Globe and Mail. However, in order to receive access to the ongoing e-mail offers you will be required to go to globerecognition.com and register your e-mail address.
- I'm a subscriber but I don't want to give my e-mail address, can I still be a member?
Yes, although without an e-mail address registered with the program, you will not be able to receive or redeem the majority of our offers.
- Do existing Globe Recognition members have to re-register for the program?
No, they are automatically rolled into the new program to receive and redeem e-mail offers. They will have to re-register to gain access to the new Globe Recognition website at globerecognition.com.
- What if I am a subscriber who does not live in British Colombia or Ontario?
You are eligible to become a member of the program, however, the majority of our offers are currently for BC and Ontario.
- How do I subscribe to The Globe and Mail?
